A film about female jockeys at a Swedish horse racing track.

In her experimental film THUNDER IN MY HEART (2016), Hellsgård
continues her investigation of realism and phenomenology. Filmed with
small cameras, Hellsgård captures the connection between a female jockey
and her horse in motion and aims at detaching the inner emotional
worlds of the protagonists and transferring them to the image sequences.
With slowed down images and intense sound elements, she opens a visually
stunning and sensory experience of horse racing to the viewer.
